Applications of fumed silica (white carbon black) in agricultural field

1. Increase the germination rate of seeds

In agriculture, the mixture of fumed silica (white carbon black) with trace elements, growth regulators and mineral fertilizers for seed treatment can protect seeds from mechanical damage and moisture, improve seed germination rate and reduce the amount of fertilizer, shorten the maturity period and increase crop yield.

2. Ensure strong adsorption of herbicide

The dispersibility and adsorbability of vapor-phase fumed silica (white carbon black) can ensure the strong adsorbability and long duration of herbicides in exicron/benzosulfuron and triachlor/benzosulfuron.

3. Facilitate the storage, transportation and use of pesticides

A small amount of fumed silica is added to the mixture of dinitroaniline and urea, two common herbicides, to prevent the mixture from caking. The use of fumed silica (white carbon black) as carrier and dispersant in insecticidal powders such as polythiane and octaphthion will facilitate the storage, transportation and use of insecticides, avoid the use of organic solvents, reduce environmental pollution, reduce production costs, and improve and prolong the efficacy of insecticides.
